Police Spokesperson SDIG Ajith Rohana said that three maids who were employed at MP Rishad Bathiudeen’s residence since 2009 are now dead.
Accordingly, 11 house maids had been employed at MP’s houswe since 2009 and all of them were from Dayagama recruited through a broker
SDIG Rohana said that of the 11 women, three are now dead. Apart from the 16-year-old girl who died recently, another woman died of cancer while another woman had died by suicide, he added.
Moreover, the Police has recorded statements from other 8 women and two of them claimed they were sexually abused by Bathiudeen’s brother-in-law.
