Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga today (7) refused claims that her son Vimukthi Kumaratunga will enter Sri Lankan politics in near future.
In a statement she said that such reports are completely false and Vimukthi has no intention about entering politics.
“He does not have any intention about entering politics. Even I do not want him to make sacrifices we did in politics and going through so many sufferings like my family,” she noted.
Vimukthi loves Sri Lanka dearly. But entering into politics is not the only way to serve the country, she said.
