President Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued a directive to create a new Medical Act in the span of six months, aiming to address current limitations in the Medical Ordinance, leading to enhanced healthcare services and safeguarding the well-being of citizens.
Furthermore, an extra allocation of Rs. 30 billion has been sanctioned for medical supplies, falling under the Ministry of Health’s provisions, to meet urgent medical requirements. These funds are deemed sufficient for the upcoming three months, the PMD said.
