President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed to lift the on-going quarantine curfew from 4.00 a.m. on Friday (1), Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said.
He said that relevent guidelines regarding lifting the curfew will be announced later.
The island wide quarantine curfew was imposed at 10.00 p.m. on 20 August following rapid increase of COVID-19 patients and deaths.
