Former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal has emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication for leaders of a country. Speaking to journalists, Cabraal cited his nine-year tenure as the Central Bank Governor, during which he never complained or expressed his grievances, even amidst challenging circumstances such as a war.
Cabraal stressed that leaders must be dedicated to carrying out their duties and responsibilities, and that complaining and whining are counterproductive. He asserted that leaders should focus on working towards achieving their objectives, despite any challenges they may encounter.
Furthermore, Cabraal expressed his frustration with the media, stating that there is no point in directing questions to him or the leader of the country. He implied that external forces, such as those in Washington, now control the country’s economy, and therefore, they should be the ones to be questioned regarding the country’s economic affairs.
