Former Executive Director at the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) Thushan Gunawardena who made shocking revelations on gas related explosions and Lanka Sathosa garlic scam has been prevented from travelling overseas.
When he had attempted to travel US recently he had been informed that he coulc not leave the country by immigration officials at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA). They had informed him that he had been barred from leaving the country as he had been named as a suspect in a case that has been filed at the Welisara Court.
Gunawardena said that he had not been informed that he had been named as a suspect in a case.
