Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa decided to go into a period of self-isolation for two weeks, after several Police officers in his security squad have been tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement posted on his official facebook profile, Weerawansa said that his office will be temporarily closed for two weeks as well. It will also be disinfected too.
The Minister further said that although his office is closed, functions of the ministry will be carried out without any interruption.
